SEMScoop Review 2020
After Sign Up, you would have access to their dashboard. The first thing you would notice is the clean user interface. On the first screen, you would have to enter a keyword in the search box, choose location and language.
For example, I used the keyword “fishing gear”.
1. Get Keyword Ideas
After entering the keyword, you would get a full analysis of the same. In the left sidebar, you would get a list of keyword ideas.
In this list, you can get hundreds of other relevant keywords. After researching the keyword fishing gear, I got the following result.
There is a filter option available where you can get precise results. You can filter by average monthly search volume, CPC, number of words, etc. These are some of the things you need to consider when you are doing keyword research.
There is also an option to sort keywords by the same parameters.
2. Complete Keyword Analysis
In the middle of the screen, you would get a full analysis of the keyword. Various stats are showing different aspects of that keyword.
Based on the above keyword, I got this.
As you can see in the image, below the keyword you would get search volume, CPC and PPC stats.
There are an average search volume and trend graph. It shows the search volume with popularity over time.
The most famous part of a keyword research tool is its ability to show the keyword difficulty score. SEMScoop has its own metrics to calculate the difficulty score.
The score goes from 1 to 100. Any score from 21 to 30 considered as easy to target keywords.
According to SEMScoop, here is the list with description
|Keyword Difficulty Score||Keyword Competition|
|11-20||Extremely Low Competition|
|41-50||Somewhat High Competition|
|51-65||Very High Competition|
|65-100||Don’t even think about it|
At the time of research, try to find long tail (keyword that contains more than 4 words) and keyword difficulty score between 0 to 30. This helps you to rank faster with minimum efforts. You scan through the keyword ideas list to explore more keywords like this.
Next to keyword difficulty score, it shows the average domain authority score of the domains ranking on the first page of Google, average domain age of top-ranking domains, an average number of backlinks of top-ranking pages and estimated content length require to rank on the first page.
These stats would help you to make your strategy for the same keyword so that it could rank on the first page.
3. Complete SERP Analysis
Just below the full analysis, you would get a tabbed section. The first one id Top search results. This shows the top 10 pages ranking for the preferred keyword.
It shows the preview like Google SERP. First, it shows the title, then URL and meta description.
Each result comes with some other metrics like:
4. Backlinks Profile
The second tabbed section is the link profile. Click on that and it will show you all the things related to the backlink of the top 10 ranking pages.
You can view the do-follow and no-follow links count. There is also an option to see the top backlinks. You can get the list of sites to form this and ask for backlinks.
Reach out each of the sites and contact them. Let them know that they are linking to the page and you have a better version of the same content. As they have already given links to someone else, then there is a high chance that you would get backlinks from them.
It also shows the domain authority, a total number of links, page authority and spam links.
5. Content Analysis
The next tab is for content analysis. Click on that and it will show you various stats regarding content. Combinedly it is known as content quality score.
On-Page score: It shows the content optimization of that page.
Content length: It shows the number of words on that page.
Keyword Density: It refers to how many times the keyword is repeated on the page.
In addition to that, the tool also shows some on-page SEO analysis report. Whether you are using the keyword or in the URL and so on.
This gives you a good idea about your competitors and where they are making mistakes. You can correct them and get better results.
The report would be shown for each search result.
6. Social Engagement
The next tabbed section is social engagement. Click on that and it will show you all the stats regarding social media engagements like shares mentions etc.
It shows stats for Facebook, Linkedin, StumbleUpon (Mix) and Pinterest.
7. Learning Hub
At the time of writing the SEMScoop review post, one thing I found interesting is their learning hub. It contains many basic and advances the concepts of SEO and keyword research.
There is a step by step guides about various topics where you can learn keyword research using SEMScoop.
They also have a dedicated blog section where you would find many useful posts.
Support is one of the most important and most needed things in the web-based tool. So SEMScoop provides different mediums to contact their support team.
There is a live chat option inside the dashboard. You can directly contact their customer support team in real-time.
In addition to that, you can get support through email.
